A walk-up or low-rise apartment is located in a building that does not have an elevator (which means it might be a bit more difficult when youre moving in). Walk-ups are usually older buildings that are less than five stories high and may not have a lot of amenities such as laundry rooms, storage lockers or wheelchair accessibility.
